At Mariposa 88 Coffee Company, we believe great coffee starts at the source. This March, we embarked on our annual pilgrimage to the breathtaking Montecillos Mountains near Siguatepeque, Honduras, where the story of your morning cup truly begins.

Our relationship with the COAQUIL cooperative and the Sigua Family Coffee mill isn't just business – it's a partnership built on trust, quality, and shared values.

What makes this region special? The Montecillos Mountains provide the perfect conditions for growing exceptional coffee: high altitude, rich soil, and a climate that allows beans to develop their complex flavor profiles. Our farmers combine generations of traditional knowledge with sustainable practices to produce beans that showcase the best of Honduran coffee.

This direct relationship means more than just quality coffee – it means transparency in our supply chain, fair prices for our farmers, and the ability to bring you coffee with a story. When you brew Mariposa 88 coffee, you're not just drinking any coffee; you're experiencing the care and dedication of farmers we know by name.

Looking ahead, we're excited to announce that we'll be introducing several new micro-lot offerings from the COAQUIL cooperative later this year. Each will tell its own unique story of the land, the farmer, and the passion that goes into every bean.

Where Coffee Takes Flight isn't just our slogan – it's our promise to bring you thoughtfully sourced, carefully roasted coffee that connects you directly to its origins in the highlands of Honduras.
